Introduction

Shelter Cymru is Wales’s people and homes charity. They believe that a decent secure home is a fundamental right and essential to the health and well-being of people and communities.
Shelter Cymru began in 1981 there was little or no specialist housing advice available to people in Wales and the problems of homelessness were largely overlooked or not fully acknowledged. Their work for people in housing need. We have offices all over Wales and prevent people from losing their homes by offering free, confidential and independent advice. When necessary we constructively challenge on behalf of people to ensure they are properly assisted and to improve practice and learning.

What is the desired result?

Shelter Cymru is committed to providing a broad range of services through the language of choice of the people we work with. We have a detailed Welsh Language Scheme which has been recognised by the Welsh Language Board.
Education service provides schools in Wales with teaching aids on the issues of homelessness and poor housing and our Peer Learning Project works intensively with homeless young people. Contributions from members of the public make it possible for us to prevent homelessness every day.
Shelter Cymru also provides training courses, in-house training and holds conferences and events on a variety of housing related issues.

Target audience

• Relationships > Contacting the homeless people families so they can find a solution of their situation or to let them know.

• Health >Most of the food are handmade cooked ,cleaned,fresh and healthy.

• Security > That to provide them safety living.

• Residence > To provide the homeless people place to live or stay.

• Education> ByEducate them to give the chance to work in the future by using their Certificate .

Possible solutions

Working with people who use their services as equals. they provide information, advice and support to help people identify the best options to find and keep a home and to help them take control of their own lives.
The Organisation also work to prevent homelessness through a range of training courses and conferences and seminars. Another key element in our prevention agenda is education – working closely with schools and local authorities to prevent homelessness in Wales by providing young people with a better understanding of how homelessness can affect them, and how to avoid it. Working with people who use their services as equals. they provide information, advice and support to help people identify the best options to find and keep a home and to help them take control of their own lives.

The Message

Shelter Cymru campaigns for new ways of eliminating homelessness and housing need, changes in legislation, and policies and practices that will improve the long term housing and homelessness situations faced by thousands of people in Wales.

Budget

Shelter Cymru is Wales’ people and homes charity.Throw 2011 to 2014 shelter Cymru has been going with a Financial Strategy. The Financial Strategy had one goal to achieve, which was to make the financial stable for a long term with deferent incomes.
There were many Trusts and Foundations have supported Shelter Cymru to cover costs during the year, one of the supporter was The Jane Hodgson Foundation, have supported Shelter Cymru for many years, and the new trust called Langdale Trust agreed to support their work. And the largest donation came from The Tolkien Trust, They were support Shelter Cymru for three years.As it for me toward this organisation i will be volunteering for this project with free cost.
