Rajasthan field trip was the best trip I have ever been to in my life, As I have experienced a lot while visiting. I was amazed by their life style and how they're surviving with their hard life.There was art everywhere; worn by the people with beautiful colourful clothes and even most of the walls have been painted or drawn on artistically by people themselves. I think India has the most types of religions in the world and they all respect each other without judging on any differences which makes it a unique culture. You can see all kind of peoples and levels of what they are earning. We visited some artists in their houses and galleries and each one has their style and different way of work and most of their work was colourful. Most of the museums that we visited contained paintings. I decided to do a painting for my field project which contain peoples life style, emotions, dust, colours, old buildings, animals and the different transport methods to represent my experience while visiting. I made it as simple as I could to show my message. I started on the painting by buying two canvases, one small and one medium. I haven’t painted before in my life, so I bought the small one to try painting on it so I can get more familiar to it. For the background I mixed lots of colours together and ended up with a dark brown. I was planning to do at the beginning to paint a whole cow but there was not enough space so I ended up painting an outline of a cows face. I photographed over 4000 photos in India but choose 2000 photos out of them and I ended up cutting 685 photos. The photos were very small and it took me 3 days to choose, print and cut them. I waited for the painting to dry and then I applied the photos on the shape, It was the hardest

thing when you fit out the photos on the shape. I have also applied moving eyes to the face of the cow. After that I painted the background fade colours to show dust and no matter what they face in their life they still colour it. I experienced a lot on that painting, so it became easier for me to make more others. The background of that painting was orange, red, yellow and pink so it shows the dust, age and the hot climate. It took me lot of time to finish the other painting because the size of the canvas was bigger. I choose the elephant because it was the most loveable animal in India. It was big which means that I can take lots of photographs to be applied into the shape. I also applied some photos of buildings on the back of the elephant to show hidden city in India and to show the animals moving freely within the city. I drew a quarter of the city place in Jaipur and wrote in it an Indian poems in english, to give a hint of my message about what I experienced about India.After finishing the paintings I realised that it should be improved because I didn't have much time to completed perfectly,so I painted over the building again to be similar as the painting background. I choose two lines from the poem to show words to be more related to graphics .I have cut lots of letters from lots of magazines ,it was very hard to find all the letters so i have drawn the letters on the papers from the magazine and cut them off.I also choose the colours of the letters wisely to show the meaning of the word as well.At the end I did some research about paintings and I saw videos about how to glaze and resin all over the paintings.So i ordered it from the amazon and i applied on my paintings at it became perfectly good.That was very risky and challengeable thing to do. I was afraid to damage the paintings but thank god it didn't. It’s the best trip ever and for sure I will visit it again in the future.

Second Field:Are you setting comfortably?

I choose this field because I wanted to try something new which it's building a whole chair. It was interested at the begging but then it became harder for me to deal with. I did small samples of chairs made out of metal,cards and light wood. I was lost with measurements I couldn't figure it out easily.We have been given a questioner to ask the clint and from the answers we build the chair so it can make the clint satisfied and happy.The chair should be seated by any person and any age and should be conformable as well. I did lots of research to figure out how I will do the chair,and as the clint like Magnolia country I have used the Mongolian logo which it is the Yin and Yang.I used the logo to be the back of the chair and as the clint liked flowers I choose the seat to be flowered designed in somehow. The chair is a low type of chair because its Mongolian style . I have drawn the chair using illustrator program to print it using laser cutter machine. I did a small sample of the chair to see if the measurements are right before using the CNC machine. CNC machine its used to cut out big materials.The chair made of wood and we have been given a big piece for each student and we use it once ,so we have to be sure of the measurements . I didn't complete my chair on the time of submission because the measurements keep getting wrong. I submitted the sketch book and a small sample of the chair. This project was very challengeable and I gained lots of experience of how to do a piece of furniture .Also we have met a great designer from Mexico and her work was amazing which I really benefit from her life and work experience ,it was really

interesting.Finally I have cut the chair and it became good. I have taken the pieces and i started sanding it tell it became soft and clean by using the sanding machine .It took lots of time to finish sanding the chair.I used a hammer and nails to put all the wood pieces together it was hard for me to do it all by myself so,I let my friend to help me holding the pieces tied. At the end the chair became great and wonderful. It is slightly different of the one I planed on the sketch book,as it was going to be stuffed with cushion but I changed it by placing a piece of wood that it can be stable ,fit and removable. Its little pit tricky by removing the placed wood , I made it like that so I can change the cover of it any time which also can suit the decoration each time we change it .The cover could be any piece of fabric for example a pillow cover. This field was a very good experience to me as I learned a lot .

This year I was a part of a gallery which it's the first time of my life I put my work into a gallery which people will come visit and see.It took place in Cardiff bay,So I pushed my self working on my paintings very hard to be good and at the same time to impress people. The paintings work of the first Field the Rajesthan trip, It was a part of field exhibition. I have another exhibition which be placed on the graphic design floor in the art and design building ,which I will put the painting again plus the chair as well. Which the chair is part of the second field.Those works or projects were the major things that I ever did in my life.Which changed lots of skills and knowledge by being involved with new field types,meeting designers,workshops and trips which gives a great experience either on work,designing and life.This year I accomplished

lots of experience that I wasn't aware of My abilities. This year it was rally helpful for me as a graphic designer Which I used photography ,cutting and placing letters in the paintings ,cutting the chair wood pieces and put it all together which gives a piece of furniture,travelling to India, visiting museums and galleries in India ,meeting designers and artists and meeting other students which they are different part of the subject. I gained lots of friends from those two fields and I am really glade of knowing them. Field is the better thing happened to me this year because it changed my life to become better.
